asked the Prime Minister whether the Civil Research Committee has under consideration any aspects of the unemployment problem and, if so, what; and whether the Committee has yet made any proposals for action?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Bald-win):

No, Sir; but the question of unemployment is clearly an important factor in the consideration of the position of the- iron and steel industry on which the Committee is at present engaged.
