HC Deb 06 July 1925 vol 186 c27
59. Colonel DAY

asked the Undersecretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, if he will consider the advisability of installing public address loud speakers in the bandstands of London parks under his authority in order that the programmes of 2 LO, or Daventry High Power Station, may be broadcasted, so that persons using the parks may have the benefit of such concerts during the time that bands or orchestras are not using the park bandstands?

Mr. G. LOCKER-LAMPSON (for the FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS)

I am not aware that there is any public demand for this.
