HC Deb 06 July 1925 vol 186 c3
9. Sir RICHARD LUCE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India if the Government have yet arrived at conclusions as to the future of the Indian medical service; and whether it is their intention to carry out the proposals of the Lee Commission in this respect, especially in the matter of establishing provincial medical services the members of which will not be under the control of the Secretary of State?

Earl WINTERTON

The Government of India's proposals are now under the consideration of my Noble Friend the Secretary of State, who hopes to arrive at early decisions. Meanwhile, I regret that I am unable to make any further statement.
