§ 18. Mr. DIXEYasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has now investigated the report of the presence of members or officials of the Soviet Legation or other Soviet officials at Poplar at a function when Soviet officials expressed a desire to see a republic in this country at an early date; if so, whether officials of the Russian Legation or other Soviet officials are to be allowed to interfere in politics in this country; and what action is proposed to be taken?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI understand from my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary that this was a private meeting about which the police had no 2510 information. In these circumstances I cannot take any action.
