Friend would prefer not to make any statement with regard to the lamentable disaster at the Fenny Stratford level crossing, pending the result of the inquiries which are being held in the matter. On the general question of the elimination of level crossings, my right hon. Friend would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the answer which was given on the 10th February to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for the Acton Division, of which my right hon. Friend is sending him a copy.
§ Colonel DAYWould it not be possible for the Minister to recommend that a tunnel should be made underneath this level crossing?
