HC Deb 18 December 1925 vol 189 cc1922-4

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House do now adjourn."— [Commander Eyres Monsell.]

Mr. RAMSAY MacDONALD

May I ask the Prime Minister what business he proposes to take on Monday, and when the discussion on Iraq will take place?

The PRIME MINISTER

I propose that the House shall meet on Monday at the usual hour, and, after consideration of the Lords Amendments to the

and the remaining stages of the Mines (Working Facilities and Support) Bill, which I understand is an agreed Measure, I shall move a Motion with regard to Iraq.

I do not anticipate Amendments from another place to any other Bills, but it may be necessary for me to ask the House to deal with any business in connection with Bills which have already passed this House. I hope very much, having regard to the desire that has generally been expressed for a discussion on Iraq, that the House may find it convenient not to delay unduly on Lords Amendments, so that we have a full discussion on Iraq.

I hope that Prorogation will take place at Eleven o'Clock on Tuesday next.

Motion, by leave, withdrawn.

The remaining Government Orders were read, and postponed.

Whereupon Mr. SPEAKER adjourned the House, without Question put, pursuant to Standing Order No. 3, until Monday next (21st December), pursuant to the Order of the House of 16th November.

Adjourned at Two Minutes after Four o'Clook.
