HC Deb 17 December 1925 vol 189 c1602
34. Mr. STEPHEN

asked the Minister of Pensions the number of cases in which claims have been made in respect to pensions for death or disability due to war service which claims have been ruled out through the seven years' limit Regulation?

1. Mr. PIELOU

asked the Minister of Pensions the number of claims that have been made up to date by ex-service men for pensions after the time limit of seven years has expired?

Major TRYON

No separate record is kept of applications which, for various reasons, are not proceeded with.

Colonel DAY

Where it can be proved that the claimants have not had knowledge of these Regulations, will the Ministry consider giving them an opportunity?

Major TRYON

I am afraid I do not understand the hon. and gallant Member's question.

Mr. STEPHEN

Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether the Ministry have any sort of rough estimate?

Major TRYON

No; we have no estimate of these figures. As I have said, no separate record is kept of claims which, for various reasons, are not proceeded with.
