HC Deb 17 December 1925 vol 189 c1614
48. Mr. BOOTHBY

asked the Prime Minister whether he is now in a position to state what is the policy of His Majesty's Government with regard to Imperial development; to what extent it is proposed to adopt the recommendations of the Imperial Economic Committee; and whether consideration is being given to the question of the proposals to be laid before the forthcoming Imperial Conference?

The PRIME MINISTER

I do not think that it is possible to deal with the first part of the question by way of question and answer; the proper occasion for such a statement would be on the Estimates. As regards the second part, the matter is still under consideration, while as regards the third part, such proposals will be duly considered in ample time for the next Imperial Conference.

Mr. BOOTHBY

Have the Government received any communications from the Governments of any of our Dominions with respect to the second part of the question?

The PRIME MINISTER

I should like notice of that question.
