HC Deb 16 December 1925 vol 189 cc1410-1
47. Mr. DIXEY

asked the Prime Minister whether he can now state on what day he proposes to give his promised statement to the House in respect of the iron and steel trade?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir; but I will make a statement before the Session ends.

Captain BENN

Can the right hon. Gentleman see his way to make the statement at some time which will permit of a short Debate?

The PRIME MINISTER

I should like nothing better, but I think that the time is too short for a Debate.
