Mr. ELLIS DAVIESasked the Minister of Transport whether he has received representations with reference to the dangerous condition of the platform of the railway station at Glan Conway, in the County of Denbigh; and whether, 1195 in view of the fact that several accidents have already taken place, he will compel the railway company to take steps to remove the danger to which passengers are now exposed?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI recently received some representations with regard to this matter, and am in communication with the railway company upon them.
§ Mr. DAVIESMay I ask the right hon. Gentleman if he has power to compel the railway company to take steps to prevent these accidents?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI should not like to answer a general question such as that, but if the hon. Member will put a specific case I will give him an answer.
§ Mr. DAVIESIs the right hon. Gentleman not aware that there were two specific accidents at Glan Conway, and has he no power to take any steps to prevent future accidents?
