Mr. RAMSDENasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is now able to say what financial assistance the Government intend to give to the Imperial College of Tropical Agriculture; and whether he is aware that the provision of a hostel is urgently necessary, as there is no suitable accommodation for the students?
§ Mr. ORMSBY-GOREI regret that I am still unable to say what financial assistance His Majesty's Government intend to give to the Imperial Collar of Tropical Agriculture. I fully realise the urgent need for the provision of a hostel for the students, and have recently received further representations on this point from the governing body of the college.
