HC Deb 09 December 1925 vol 189 cc451-2
70. Mr. SCURR

asked the Minister of Health which local authorities in England and Wales give sanatorium and other treatment to tuberculous persons free of charge?

Sir K. WOOD

I am sending the hon. Member a list of the local authorities conducting tuberculosis schemes which, according to the most recent information available to my right hon. Friend's Department, do not obtain contributions from patients afforded treatment for tuberculosis.

Mr. HARRIS

Is it correct to say that there is no legal right to make a charge?

Sir K. WOOD

That is another matter, and I must ask the hon. Gentleman to put the question down.
