HC Deb 03 December 1925 vol 188 c2515
94. Captain CAZALET

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the difference would be in the amount which the British Government is due to pay to the United States of America this year if the British debt had been funded on the same terms as the American-Italian debt?

Mr. CHURCHILL

If the British debt to the United States of America had been funded on the same terms as the Italian debt to the United States Government, the amount payable by His Majesty's Government to the United States Government during the present year would be approximately $11 millions instead of $160 millions.
