asked the Minister of Labour the number of build- ing trade workers in Glasgow who are at present unemployed and drawing benefit?

I am circulating in the OFFICIAL REPORT a table showing the numbers registered as unemployed on 26th October in the Glasgow area in the various occupations in the building trades.

Following is the table promised:

Carpenters 155
Bricklayers 58
Masons 77
Slaters 30
Plasterers 17
Painters 470
Plumbers 109
Labourers to the above 1,062
Others 1,019
Total 2,997

Of this total, 2,701 had claims to benefit current at 26th October, but I cannot say how many were actually then in receipt of benefit.
