Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe answer to the first part of this question is in the negative. Until the Report of the Military Committee of Versailles has reached the Allied Governments it is obviously not possible to say what action will be taken upon it.
§ Captain BENNHas this Committee of Marshal Foch any authority, or are the Allies entitled to form their own judgment independent of any report made by the Committee?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe Committee presided over by Marshal Foch undoubtedly has authority, by reason of the members of whom it is composed, but their authority does not extend to imposing their opinions upon the Governments concerned.
