§ 53. Sir H. BRITTAINasked the Prime Minister whether the question of holding the next Imperial Conference in one of the Overseas Dominions has been considered by the Cabinet; and whether such a suggestion would meet with favourable consideration?
§ The PRIME MINISTERHis Majesty's Government would, of course, always be ready to consider, in consultation with the other Governments concerned, whether it would be practicable to hold a meeting of the Imperial Conference in one of the Overseas Dominions; but arrangements for these Conferences depend so much on the circumstances in which they are called that I fear it is impossible for me to give a definite reply to my hon. Friend's question.
