§ 56. Captain GARRO-JONES
asked the Home Secretary whether he proposes to introduce any measure to safeguard office workers against dangerous and insanitary conditions of work?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS
No such measure is at present in contemplation. I would point out that offices are subject 1502 to various provisions of the Public Health Acts and that overcrowding and other in-sanitary conditions in offices can be dealt with by the local authorities under these powers.
