HC Deb 02 April 1925 vol 182 cc1501-2
56. Captain GARRO-JONES

asked the Home Secretary whether he proposes to introduce any measure to safeguard office workers against dangerous and insanitary conditions of work?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

No such measure is at present in contemplation. I would point out that offices are subject to various provisions of the Public Health Acts and that overcrowding and other in-sanitary conditions in offices can be dealt with by the local authorities under these powers.
