Mr. CADOGANasked the Minister of Health whether the town councils of Acton and Ealing have approached him with the object of obtaining his sanction for the raising of the loan to purchase the Gunnersbury estate; and, if so, whether, if he grants his sanction, he will make it a condition, in view of the shortage of recreation grounds for the working population of London, that a considerable portion of the estate shall be reserved for the purposes of playing fields which can be used by the public?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINNo application has yet been made for sanction to a loan. If such an application is received, the suggestion of my hon. Friend will receive careful consideration.
