asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the capital amount still due from purchasers of Government-owned ships on 1st January, 1925; and what was the balance outstanding at the same date on account of the sale of ex-enemy ships taken over under the Peace Treaty on behalf of the Reparation Commission?

I have been asked to reply. The capital amount remaining to be collected from purchasers of Government-owned ships and payable by instalments amounted on the 1st January, 1925, to £497,427. The amount outstanding at the same date in respect of the sale of ex-enemy ships taken over under the Peace Treaty was £1,708,227.
