99. Lieut.-Colonel Sir F. HALLasked the Minister of Health whether, acting on a report recently made to him by an inquiry committee under Part VII of the National Health Insurance (Medical Benefit) Regulations, he has removed the name of a certain firm from the list of persons supplying drugs or appliances in the area of the London Insurance Committee; and will he state the reason why the name of the firm has been withheld, having regard to the fact that a decision of this kind closely concerns the general public?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, the name of the firm has been communicated to all insurance committees, but it has never been customary to publish the names of firms removed from the list, and I do not consider that it is necessary in the public interest or equitable to do so.
