asked the Minister of Transport whether the authorities have yet come to an agreement with regard to the proposed bridge at Thorne, near Doncaster; if so, when the work of construction is likely to commence and will he take steps to speed up this work which is necessary for the facilitation of road transport and the general convenience of this fact developing district

Proposals for the reconstruction of the two bridges at Thorne are now assuming definite form after prolonged negotiations, and I hope the work will be put in hand without further delay.

Will the right hon. Gentleman bring whatever pressure he can for the purpose of facilitating the carrying out of this work?
