§ 30. Mr. SMEDLEY CROOKEasked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the widespread distress prevalent amongst ex-service officers and men of like educational qualification, he is prepared to extend to them the uncovenanted benefit of the unemployment insurance fund?
§ Mr. SHAWEx-service officers and men of like educational qualification are eligible for unemployment benefit, subject to the same conditions as other applicants. I regret that I cannot see my way to make proposals for the grant of uncovenanted benefit to such of them as cannot satisfy these conditions.
