Mr. SMEDLEY CROOKEasked the Prime Minister whether it is the intention of His Majesty's Government to adopt the suggestion recently put forward to investigate the question of profiteering and middlemen's profits; and whether he will recommend the appointment of a Royal Commission to consider the whole matter?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI would refer the hon. Member to the answer given by the Lord Privy Seal on the 8th May, in reply to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for East Bristol (Mr. Baker), to which I have at present nothing to add.
