Scott, of 3, Clarence Cottages, The Square, Purton, having made application 2175 for the position of postman at Purton, received a communication from the Swindon Employment Exchange asking him to call at 9 a.m. on 12th May; that when Mr. Scott called, in response to the official request, he was informed that the post for which he applied had been filled; and if the Employment Exchange was carrying out Regulations laid down by the Ministry of Labour in asking an out-of-work ex-service man to make a journey of 12 miles in order to convey to him information which could have been sent by letter?
