HC Deb 20 May 1924 vol 173 c2010
Mr. RUPERT GWYNNE

(by Private Notice) asked the Secretary of State for War whether the Government have considered the Report of the Committee on the Claims of Professional Ex-ranker Officers, and, if so, what action do they propose to take?

Mr. WALSH

I am obliged to my hon. Friend for giving me private notice of this question. His Majesty's Government have considered the Report of this Committee, and have decided to accept its findings in their entirety.

Mr. LUMLEY

Are we to understand that the Prime Minister has definitely decided to dishonour the pledge which he gave on this subject?
