§ 87. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHYasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what progress has been made in the constituent assembly at Bagdad with the ratification or otherwise of the proposed Treaty between His Majesty and His Majesty the King of Iraq?
The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Thomas)Article 18 of the Treaty provides for its ratification by the High Contracting Parties after acceptance by the Iraq Constituent Assembly. The Treaty and connected documents are now under the consideration of the Assembly. I can make no further statement at present.
