§ 59. Mr. ROBERT MACDONALDasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the total amount of the expenditure incurred by the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction for Ireland, in connection with the Royal Commission on the Importation of Store Cattle, which in 1921 inquired into the question of the embargo on Canadian cattle, and at which inquiry the said Department was represented by counsel instructed by the Chief Crown Solicitor for Ireland.
§ Mr. SNOWDENAs the hon. Member is aware, the administration and records of the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction for Ireland have been transferred to the Irish Free State. So far as the records of my Department show, however, the special expenditure incurred on this account amounted to £1,823 3s. 10d.
