Mr. LIVINGSTONEasked the Secretary for Scotland whether he is disposed to consider favourably the completion of the Tolsta-Ness road in the Island of Lewis; and in view of the benefits this project, if carried out, would confer on the island communities, is he prepared to make inquiries with a view to having the road completed?
Mr. ADAMSONI am acquainted with the position in regard to this road, but I am afraid I can hold out no hope of a grant being made towards the heavy cost which would be involved in completing it.
