§ Mr. PENNYHas the right hon. Gentleman made any representation from the Labour Government to the Italian Government?
§ Mr. SNOWDENIt is not my duty to make direct representations to the Italian Government in this matter or any other matter.
Mr. SAMUELWhat is the good of carrying on these debts in the Treasury accounts presented with the Budget unless the right hon. Gentleman thinks there is some chance of getting the money from them?
§ Mr. SNOWDENI certainly hope that there is a chance of receiving payments.
