§ Mr. HARTSHORNThe total staff, male and female, employed in the Post Office (including industrial staff) on 1st May, 1924, amounted 210,496, of whom 94,081 (or 58 per cent. of the total male staff) are ex-service men. It would not be possible, without elaborate inquiry, to ascertain what percentage of this number are Regular ex-service men.
