§ The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Trevelyan)The present accommodation in certified special schools for the deaf is 4,582. The approximate number of deaf children in the country (including those who are partially deaf), based on returns furnished by local education authorities in respect of the year 1923, is 5,700.
§ Mr. WHITEAre those children who are not in attendance at the special schools in attendance at the ordinary schools, and are any steps being taken to secure to them the special education which they require?
