§ 41. Mr. TURNER-SAMUELSasked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the cases of infirm old age pensioners who in many cases are without any relatives or friends to assist them and are living under conditions harmful to themselves and their neighbours, and that, unless such persons apply to the Poor Law guardians for relief, the latter have no power to deal with them; and will he accordingly take action to provide proper care for such infirm and friendless pensioners?
§ Mr. WHEATLEYI shall be glad to consider any practical suggestions that may be made to me for dealing with these cases.
