§ 70. Mr. COVEasked the President of the Board of Education if he is aware that, in the recently amended scheme for the Wellingborough grammar school, the Northamptonshire County Education Committee proposed to erect a new secondary school at Wellingborough; what steps, if any, have been taken to put the proposal into effect; and, if no steps have been taken, whether, having regard to the fact that the provision for secondary education in the county is below the average for the country, he proposes to take any action to ensure that the proposal will be carried out without any undue delay.
