§ Viscount CURZON(by Private Notice) asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Government have any statement to make with regard to the reported seizure of the R.M.S. "Orduna" and the arrest of two officers and six members of the crew; and whether the seizure is in accordance with the spirit and the letter of the Treaty recently signed but not yet ratified between the United States Government and the British Government?
§ Mr. PONSONBYHis Majesty's Ambassador at Washington has been instructed by telegraph to report on the seizure of the R.M.S. "Orduna." I do not feel able to express any opinion in regard to this matter pending the receipt of the reply.
