§ Mr. WHEATLEYThe present output of bricks is variously estimated at between 2,500,000,000 and 4,000,000,000 a year. Taking 20,000 as the average number of bricks per house, a total of 4,000,000,000 bricks would be required for 200,000 houses.
§ Mr. LUMLEYWhat materials does the right hon. Gentleman propose to use for building the vast number of houses that are required?
