HC Deb 11 March 1924 vol 170 cc2137-8
94. Mr. T. THOMSON

asked the Minister of Transport whether it is his intention to include in the proposed Bill dealing with road traffic any alteration in the present lightning regulation for pedal cyclists; and, if so, will he consent to receive a deputation from the recognized associations representing cyclists before introducing his Bill?

Mr. GOSLING

I assume that the hon. Member is referring to the proposed London Traffic Bill. If this assumption is correct, I may say that it is not proposed in that Bill to modify in any way the existing law with regard to the lighting or road vehicles.

Mr. THOMSON

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that the question is intended to refer to the Road Bill, which is to be introduced following on the recommendations of the Committee that sat last year.

Mr. GOSLING

There is no proposal to lay any Bill before the House.
