§ 42. Mr. LUMLEYasked the Secretary of State for War what are the active service strengths of a British and a French cavalry division in men, horses, rifles, machine-guns, artillery, and auxiliary fighting services, such as armoured cars, light tanks, and aeroplanes?
§ Mr. WALSHWith the hon. Member's permission I will circulate the figures for a British cavalry division in the OFFICIAL REPORT. I regret that I am not in a position to give similar information for a French cavalry division.
§ Mr. LUMLEYAm I to understand that the War Office have not got the particulars of the French cavalry divisions?
§ Mr. WALSHI would not like the hon. Member to deduce that idea. There is a great difference between giving the figures relating to our own Divisions and giving those relating to a foreign nation. The hon. Member will realise that this kind of information should not be lightly given.
