HC Deb 04 March 1924 vol 170 c1176
73. Mr. WESTWOOD

asked the Secretary for Scotland the number of classes in Scottish schools with more than 60 pupils, and the number of classes with from 50 to 60 pupils?

Mr. ADAMSON

I cannot give the figures for which my hon. Friend asks, without calling on the education authorities for a special return.

Mr. WESTWOOD

Will the right hon. Gentleman be prepared to issue instructions that there shall be no class with over 60 pupils in it?

Mr. ADAMSON

If my hon. Friend wishes for such a return as he asks for in the question, I will do my best to get it.
