HC Deb 04 March 1924 vol 170 c1160
41. Brigadier-General SPEARS

asked the Secretary of State for War what are the decisions of the Army Council with reference to the Report of Lord Weir's Committee on Establishments; and whether the economies recommended by the Report have been accepted?

Mr. WALSH

Some of the recomendations have been accepted, and the resultant economies are reflected in the Estimates for next year. Others are still under discussion. I will endeavour to give the House further information on the subject in the course of the Debate on Army Estimates.

Mr. MONTAGUE

On a point of Order. I thought that last week it was agreed that only two questions were to be asked by each hon. Member?

Mr. SPEAKER

That was not decided.
