§ 67. Mr. J. HARRISasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any interim Report has been received from Mr. Palmer upon the harbour situation at Takoradi; and, if so, whether it will be laid upon the Table of the House?
Mr. THOMASI have received a brief interim Report from Mr. Palmer, but I do not propose to take any action until I am in possession of his final Report, which is expected about the end of this month. In these circumstances I do not think it would be advisable to lay the interim Report on the Table.
§ Mr. HARRISWill the right hon Gentleman lay that Report before the Colonial Office Vote is taken.
Mr. THOMASI hope to lay the Report, and to take action on it. It is a very serious Report—and I want it in full.
