HC Deb 23 June 1924 vol 175 c38
76. Dr. CHAPPLE

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is now in a position to give any information with regard to the negotiations with France upon the question of the situation in the New Hebrides?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Ponsonby)

I am afraid that I can only refer to the reply given to the hon. Member on the 8th April.

Dr. CHAPPLE

Has the hon. Gentleman had any representations made to him of a disquieting nature from Australia?

Mr. PONSONBY

I am afraid that I can add nothing to what I have said.

Dr. CHAPPLE

Can the hon. Gentleman not say whether he has or has not had any representation?
