§ Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House do now adjourn."— [Mr. Kennedy.]
§ Mr. E. BROWNMay I appeal to my hon. Friend to withdraw his Motion the Adjournment, in order that we may get the Second Reading of the Rent and Mortgage Interest Restrictions (No. 2) Bill to-night? We have an hour to spare, and it is a matter of very great importance to landlords and tenants to know where they are to be. My postbag is full of letters from all over the country. It would be a great advantage to the whole community to know where it was with regard to this vexed question, which affects millions of people.
§ Question put, and agreed to.
§ Adjourned accordingly at One Minute after Ten o'Clock.
