HC Deb 31 July 1924 vol 176 c2242
68. Mr. TOOLE

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether he is aware that the British Vice-Consulate in Kansas City, Missouri, United States of America, has been closed down; whether he will give the reason for so doing; and if he can see his way to reconsider his decision?

Mr. LUNN (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

The Vice-Consulate at Kansas City has not been closed. The Commercial Counsellor at Washington has been instructed to visit Kansas City and inspect the post, and no decision will be taken until his report has been received.
