asked the Minister of Labour how many acres it is proposed to reclaim in the Wash; and what is the estimated cost per acre?

The area at present proposed to be reclaimed is about 320 acres, and it is estimated that the cost will be about £50 per acre.

I could not say. If work has not yet started, it will be started very shortly. As regards the other supplementary question, the value of the land can only be determined after reclamation.
