Mr. GILBERTasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he has received an application from the temporary and other women clerks in Government service to receive a deputation to ask him to consider as to granting the women clerks the same conditions as granted by the Southborough Committee to men and adopted by the Government; and will he be prepared to receive such a deputation?

I understand the meeting is taking place to-day.
