HC Deb 22 July 1924 vol 176 c1100
25. Mr. MACPHERSON

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if, for the purposes of increase of pension to the scale laid down in Army Order 325 of 1919, the special case of service pensioners before the Great War, who were borne on the war establishment of a military unit, and were employed with that unit during the whole period of the War and gave satisfactory service, will be considered?

Mr. LAWSON

I am not aware what particular class my right hon. Friend has in mind, but under the terms of the Royal Warrant which he quotes, the requisite service during the Great War must be "satisfactory re-enlisted service." I am, therefore, precluded from considering claims based on service of any other kind.
