HC Deb 22 July 1924 vol 176 c1117
65. Mr. BECKER

asked the Minister of Transport if, in view of the great number of unemployed in Richmond, Surrey, he will take immediate steps to get plans passed for the new bridges which will be required for the Chertsey arterial road, so that work may be found during this coming winter?

Mr. GOSLING

I am inviting the county councils concerned to share with my Department the expense of preparing designs for the bridges on the New Chertsey Road, so that estimates for their construction may be obtained as soon as possible.
