HC Deb 17 July 1924 vol 176 cc580-1
46. Mr. J. HARRIS

asked the Prime Minister whether he will now state what steps will be taken to keep the public informed of the proceedings of the Inter-Allied Conference; whether it is proposed to open any of the sessions to the public; or whether a communiqué will be issued daily?

The LORD PRIVY SEAL (Mr. Clynes)

Publicity was one of the first questions taken up by the Conference at its opening meeting. It was agreed that the Secretariat-General of the Conference should prepare a communiqué after each full meeting of the Conference, and that no limit should be set to the length of the communiqué. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.
