§ Mr. SHAWThere is no ground for the statement that the Severn barrage scheme has collapsed; on the contrary the initial steps necessary for determining whether it is likely to be a practicable scheme are progressing satisfactorily. The further plans of the Government for the relief of unemployment cannot be dealt with by way of question and answer, but an opportunity for discussing them will, no doubt, arise before the Recess.
