§ 25. Mr. DICKSON on behalf ofasked the Under-Secretary to the Scottish Board of Health whether he has received a Report on the impure water supply of Garscadden, in the parish of New Kilpatrick, Dumbartonshire; if he is aware that the water tank is badly out of repair; that the roof thereof has fallen in and been left to rot in the water; that adjoining the water tank there are manure-covered fields, closets and refuse heaps; and that the water supply is being contaminated by these; and if he will, in the interests of public health, undertake to send an inspector to the district to submit an immediate report?
Mr. ADAMSONI have no recent information as to the condition of the Garscadden water supply. The Scottish Board of Health, however, are calling for an immediate report on the matter from the local authority. On receipt of that report, the suggestion contained in the last part of the question will receive consideration
